Spread the sparkle
On Christmas Day, 2014, I answered an ad in New York City to bring leftover Christmas goodies to a Harlem woman. I brought bags of pumpkin bread, eggs, pork roast, a winter jacket and a blanket to her. When we saw each other, she fell into my arms crying. I was the only person who responded to her request for a meal. The experience touched me deeply and I called my friend Abbey, who donated lots of the goodies, to tell her my body was buzzing and that I had just seen God. She called me immediately and our non-profit, Spread The Sparkle, was born.
We have been providing holiday meals and gorgeous events to people ever since.
